Michelle writes from her tiny house that she shares with the loves of her life. Her only reference for time is the seasons and the growth of her child. She wanders with a purpose and day dreams frequently. Her writing can be found on her parent-oriented blog: juicebox confession and her personal musings at: still, here. |

Melody was going to be a nurse, but now she’s a writer. Her style is some combination of raw honesty, satire and a heartfelt conversation. No one finds her funnier than herself, except maybe her adorable husband Stephen. When she’s not working at the button factory (read: computer) you might find her covered in mud up to the neck in her garden, wrangling two maybe three children or reading tarot in a pile of laundry singing not so quietly to herself, or whoever. She uses her body to collect tattoos, her house to collect friends and family, and a small shelf in the bedroom to collect owls. You can read her work at http://melodymarie85.wordpress.com |
Hannah writes to find the truth: her prose will always be fresh and
candid nonfiction. Her short pieces are often seeking depth in
simplicity, occasionally raw and uncomfortable, and generally exposing
themes of a water-hauling, grain-grinding, manure-making,
home-designing, baby-prepin', homestead life. She works at a
naturopathic clinic, and at a food coop. Editing credit goes her lovely
wife, who can usually be found dreaming of sheep and raw alpine cheeses,
or making elderberry syrup in half-gallon mason jars. They live with
their pit-mutt, Barley, among aspens and goldenrod, between mud and
soggy woodpiles and plenty of why-the-fuck-are-we-doing-this to go
around, in southern Vermont.
